I'm a current student, working towards a B.A. in Psychology, then a M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy. My goal is to specialize in sexuality, with the plan to help couples redeem that aspect of their marriages. I have a passion to help women better understand their sexuality, as well as empower those who have experienced sexual trauma.
My life thus far has been a collection of the bizarre and the beautiful. I have no shame in telling parts of my story, because I believe in the God who redeems darkness. I will not shy away from sharing the tough details, the unspeakable topics, and the controversial stances. My story includes mental illness, eating disorders, abuse, ptsd, and overcoming suffocating legalism. I share my story to point to Christ, help those who are in the same situations, and lessen the grip of shame. I'm a big believer that God never intended the human race to experience shame, so I will never encourage that emotion through my writing.
The things you will read on this blog are an outpouring of my heart. And, if it is posted on here, you can be sure that I spent much time and thought before writing it. I will be personal, I will be candid, and sometimes I will be painfully blunt. I'm glad you've taken the time to join me on my journey.
